In the Injection Moulding process a homogenous rubber compound is warmed up as it is fed automatically to the machine, forced under pressure by a ram, through a nozzle and into a mould tool. The material then rapidly cures in the heated mould tool.

ADVANTAGES.

  1. Each stage can be separately designed for optimum efficiency
  2. Accurate shot size reduces waste to a minimum.
  3. Can be used over a full range of sizes, from small to very large.
  4. Efficient moulding process - reduced part price

DISADVANTAGES.

  1. Initial cost of the tooling

There are many factors, which contribute to the success or failure of rubber moulding from the design stage of a product, through choosing the material, selecting the optimum process, to developing the best operating conditions.
These factors make it important to work in partnership with a professional and experienced Moulder – please contact us for more information.
